Visiting Stirling Castle

A glimpse into Scotland’s tumultuous history of monarchs and battles, including the Wars of Independence. The iconic fortress is perched atop a volcanic hill, commanding its own importance with sensational aerial views. Loch Lomond has been romanticised for generations in songs and poetry. It’s the largest freshwater lake in Great Britain and utterly captivating, regardless of the season. The Trossachs National Park is a feast of lush forests, cascading waterfalls and serene lochs steeped in rich history and heritage. A delight to visit, make sure to bring your camera.

Departing Edinburgh

We head towards our first stop of the day;

Departing from Edinburgh we travel west to the town of Balloch, on the bank of Loch Lomond; The largest expanse of fresh water in the United Kingdom. You have the option of enjoying a cruise on the loch, soaking up spectacular scenery and commentary.

We travel through the Loch Lomond National Park and through the Trossachs- Highland in minature, once the home of the famous outlaw, Rob Roy Macgregor. We stop for lunch in the town of Callander where you can enjoy fine food and shopping.

After lunch we continue to the spectacular, Stirling Castle for our final visit of the day. Enjoy a tour of the castle which was once home to the Monarchs of Scotland. Hear stories about William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce who fought for Scotlands freedom from England.
